Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, January 7, 1992 
Effie C. Ferguson of the 2000 block of Auburn Ave., a private duty nurse and
former hair stylist, died Jan. 3, 1992, in Williamsburg.

Mrs. Ferguson was born in Reidsville, Ga. She was a member of Mount Gilead
Baptist Church; past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star 111; and past
daughter ruler of Norfolk Temple 1-B, Daughters of Elks. She was the widow of
Curtis Ferguson.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Mount Gilead Baptist Church
by the Rev. Raymond Dean. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake service
will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hale Funeral Home, where friends will assemble
Wednesday at 11 a.m. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m.
