The son of William K. and Mrs. Catherine Face Ferguson, he was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. Until his retirement in 1941, he was head cotton grader with the brokerage firm and was known as "dean of cotton graders" at the old Cotton Exchange here. He had served on arbitration committees in various cotton markets in the South. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Miss Mary H. Ferguson, of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Edward H. Jones, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Royce K. McDonald, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church.
