Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, December 8, 2002 
Theresa W. Ferguson, 83, of the 6200 block of Glenoak Drive, died Dec. 4, 2002.

A native of Suffolk, she was the widow of John Ferguson and retired in 1980 as a
teacher from the Norfolk city schools after 30 years of service. She was a
former member of First Calvary Baptist Church, the VEA Association, Chums, and
NAACP. Mrs. Ferguson graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, received
her B.S. degree from Virginia State College in 1946 and took courses at Norfolk
State University.

She is survived by two sisters, Dolores Aleen of Chesapeake and Lear Parker of
Richmond, Va.; two special friends, Louis M. Smith Jr. and Ruth Smith.

A graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery by Frank
Guns. The family will assemble at Hale Funeral Home for the procession to the
cemetery at 10 a.m. Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
