He was a native of Norfolk and was a son of William H. Ferguson and the late Mrs. Louise Shumadine Ferguson. Ferguson was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 794th Air Material Squadron, 544th Air Service Group. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 392. Besides his father he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ida L. Hogge and Mrs. Virginia Lee Robertson, both of Norfolk; one brother, William D. Ferguson, also of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
