The Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 3, 1937
Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald Ferguson, aged 86, widow of Charles Martin Ferguson and 
daughter of Capt. Henry and Mrs. Caroline Ricketts Fitzgerald, died at her 
residence, 816 Westover avenue, yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Baltimore and a well-known resident of Norfolk 
for the past 76 years.  She is survived by two grandchildren, Mrs. James A. 
Carney and Finlay F. Ferguson, Jr.  Mrs. Ferguson was the mother of the late 
Finlay F. Ferguson whose death occurred October 6, 1936.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, 
with the Rev. C. Grier Davis, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, of 
which Mrs. Ferguson was a member, and the Rev. Jason L. MacMillan, D.D., pastor 
of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
