Mrs. Marie Villlanti Ferlazzo — Funeral services for Mrs. Ferlazzo, wife of 
Nicholas Ferlazzo, were conducted at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church. Services were conducted by the Rev. Leo J. Ryan, assisted by the 
Rev. John Ryan. At the conclusion of the mass, Father Leo J. Ryan paid high 
tribute to the Christian life and character of the deceased. There was a large 
attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a double cluster 
of Easter lilies and ferns. During the service, Mrs. S. A. Sutton sang, “One 
Sweetly Solemn Thought,” with Mrs. C. R. Davies, accompanist. Delegations from the 
Grand Lodge of Virginia, Figli Di Italia, Loggia Gorizia, Loggia Christopher 
Columbus, Loggia Roma and Italian Benevolent Society were in attendance. Burial 
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Angelo Sansone, Anthony Ripportella, 
Anthony Caprio, Anthony Ianello, A. Felicetta, Denny Margiotta, S. Cicero and S. 
LoCascio.
