Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 17, 1925

Mrs. Maude L. Agnes Fern, wife of John C. Fern, died Wednesday morning at 5:30 
o'clock. Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Lascola, of 
Newport News. 
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's 
Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

FERN, MAUDE L. AGNES - At Cumberland, Md., on Wednesday, April 15, 1925, at 5:30 
o'clock a.m., MAUDE L. AGNES, wife of John C. Fern.
Remains will be taken from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, Nos. 610-12 E. 
Freemason Street (Norfolk, Va.), to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral 
services, SATURDAY MORNING at 9 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend.  Interment  St. Mary's Cemetery

Mrs. Maude L. Agnes Fern — Funeral services for Mrs. Fern were conducted 
yesterday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. P. P. 
Brennan. The Rev. Vincent D. Warren was present. The choir of St. Mary’s Female 
Academy sang several selections during the service. Pallbearers were: Dr. L. 
Mendelsohn, Dr. A.V. Crosby, Dr. T. M. Vorbrink, Dr. F. P. Smart, J. F. Bell and 
Harry Hicks. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
