VIRGINIA BEACH — Mrs. Ada Lyons Ferns, 85, of 5970 Margate Ave., the widow of John 
E. Ferns, died Sunday in her home.
She was a native of Weir, Kan., and a retired school teacher. She was a member of 
Christ the King Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary F. Dorsey of Virginia Beach; five sisters, 
Mrs. Mary Mays, Mrs. Edna Donnelly, Mrs. Kathryn Kincaid, Mrs. Elizabeth Donohue 
and Mrs. Winifred Rinehart, all of Pittsburg, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 12 
great-grandchildren.
A Christian Wake Service will be held tonight at 8 p.m. in H D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk. The body will be sent to the Quinn Funeral Home, Pittsburg, 
for a funeral mass and burial on Wednesday.
