Virginian-Pilot September 2, 1921
Mrs. Clara Ferrell, widow of Walter Ferrell, died yesterday morning at the home of 
her sister, Mrs. Everette Armstrong, 350 West Twelfth street. She was sixty-five 
years old. She was a native of Princess Anne County and had lived in Norfolk forty 
years. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Armstrong; three nephews, Clyde 
Armstrong, and Walter and Vernon Williamson, and three nieces, Mrs. B. F. Martin, 
Mrs. H. C. Chapman and Miss Carmine Armstrong, all of Norfolk. The funeral will be 
held from the residence of the deceased's sister at 3 o'clock this afternoon, the 
Rev. George E. Booker, pastor of the Park Place Methodist Church, officiating. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
