Virginian-Pilot  August 31, 1921
Mrs. Agnes Ferris, wife of John R. Ferris, of Washington, D.C., died yesterday 
morning at the residence, 212 Chapel street. She was 24 years old and a native of 
Washington, but had spent most of her life in Norfolk. She is survived by her 
husband, a son, John R. Ferris, Jr.; two aunts, Mrs. C. L. Curling and Mrs. Jane 
Elizabeth Granager, and an uncle, Henry Burch. The funeral will take place 
Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
