The funeral of Miss Sallie Ferris was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 10 
o’clock yesterday morning and was largely attended. Requiem mass was celebrated by 
Rev. Father Doherty, pastor of the church. The floral tributes were numerous and 
beautiful. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary's cemetery.
Following were the pallbearers: John Finnegan, J. C. W. Gregory, T. B. Hatton, W. 
E. Tyree, C. E. Bennett, John Hennelly, Burke Hickey and James C. Gordon.
