NORFOLK - Thomas A. Fiano, 72, passed away April 6, 2009. He was born Jan. 18, 
1937, to the late Anthony and Anne Fiano in Bronx, N.Y. He was a self-employed 
mechanical contractor and was a member of the Local 110 Plumber/Pipe Fitters 
Union. Tommy's passions included family, golf and the beach. He will always be 
remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He 
will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Ann Fiano; his son, Joey Fiano and 
wife Hali; his daughter, Janna Pate and husband Gavin; two sisters, Elaine 
Copeland and Mary Ann Fiano; six grandchildren, Matthew and Tanner Fiano, Mason, 
Beckett and Rhea Pate and Ellie Fiano; and many nieces and nephews. He was 
preceded in death by his son, Tommy Fiano.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. in Smith and Williams 
Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. 
Monday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to 
www.thefirsttee.org.
