NORFOLK - Mary Ann Fiano, 76, passed away Sept. 5, 2011.

She was born March 4, 1935 to the late Veronica and Ladislav Vanjo in Cleveland, 
Ohio. Her unwavering morality and sound advice gently guided her family. She will 
be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Janna Pate and husband Gavin; her son, Joey Fiano 
and wife Hali; seven grandchildren: Matthew and Tanner Fiano, Mason, Beckett and 
Rhea Pate, Ellie and Ryder Fiano; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is 
preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Tommy, and eight siblings.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at Smith and 
Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 
2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in 
St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
