Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 1, 1954

Mrs. Marietta DiGirolamo Ficarra, 71, wife of Joe Ficarra and daughter of John 
and Mrs. Marguerite Ricca DiGirolamo, died yesterday at 2:15 p.m. at the 
residence, 211 16 1/2 Street.
Mrs. Ficcara was a native of Italy and had been a resident of Norfolk for 50 
years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and of Roma Lodge 254, 
Sons of Italy.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Thomas J. Ficarra, a brother, 
Louis DiGirolamo,  and a sister Mrs. Marion DiGirolamo, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments 
tonight at 8 o'clock.

Ficarra, who died Tuesday at the residence, 211 16 1/2 Street, will be taken 
from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 
funeral services today at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
