Norfolk Journal and Guide,July 31,1954
Mrs. Georgia Fields of 842 Goff street, died at 9:20 a.m. July 22 at a Norfolk 
hospital following an illness of about six weeks. Funeral services were held 
at 10 a.m. July 26 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Cornelius 
Sexton, SSJ, officiating. Mrs. Fields was an active church worker.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Fields; her mother, Mrs. Bessie Hayes; 
and three cousins, the Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Askew and Mrs. Maggie Simmons, all 
of Norfolk. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick's Funeral Home in 
charge.
