Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fields of 2596 Waverly Way, died Friday, June 
17 in a hospital.


A native of Norfolk, she was the wife of the late Lacey H. Fields and the 
daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Nixon.  She retired from W. T. Mason 
Real Estate and Insurance Co. after 45 years.  She was a member of the 
Trustee Board and Missionary Society of First United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Denise Turner of Norfolk, and two 
grandchildren.

A funeral service was held June 22 in First United Presbyterian Church by 
Rev. Otis J. Wynn.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  Jones Funeral Home had 
charge.
