Fields, slept forty-eight hours without waking or showing any signs of so doing. There were two of the town physicians in attendance who were unable to diagnose the case. The child was taken extremely ill Sunday and continued to grow worse Later in the week she went into a deep peaceful sleep and did not arouse until Thursday. While her condition is slightly improved she is still very ill. ************************************************* Mabel, the eleven-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Fields, died at their home in Liberty street, South Norfolk, Sunday morning at 5 o'clock after an illness of a week's duration. The funeral was conducted from the residence yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. V.W. Bargamin, pastor of Liberty Street M.E. Church, officiating. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
