Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch September 5, 1925
Mrs. Bessie M. Fields, 52 years old, died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the 
residence, 1243 Forty-sixth street. She was the wife of W. F. Fields, born in 
Southampton county, but a resident of Norfolk for more than 30 years. Besides her 
husband, she is survived by  her mother, Mrs. Bettie Williams; one brother, Paul 
B. Williams, and three sisters, Mrs. S. L. Doles, Mrs. J. T. Maddry and Mrs. E. A. 
Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the funeral parlors 
of L. L. Williams, 3401 Granby street. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
