Fields Jr. of 1273 O’Keefe street, was given final rites recently at Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Otis J. Wynn officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. C. E. Griffin. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with military honors under direction of Reid’s Funeral Home. Mr. Fields, a native of Norfolk, was a veteran of World War II, a former president of local No. 1248 of the International Longshoremen’s Association and member of Progressive Lodge A.F. and A Masons. He leaves as survivors his mother, Mrs. Flossie Fields, his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth N. Fields; a daughter, Miss Denise Fields; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan, Mrs. Claristine Scott and Miss Norma Fields; three brothers Earl, Nehemiah, and Richard Fields; a number of nieces nephews and other relatives.
