R. W. FIGG. A Well Known Writer Passes Away at 
St. Vincent’s. Captain Royal W. Figg, for several years a patient at St. Vincent’s Hospital, died yesterday evening at 7 o'clock, aged fifty-six years. He was a newspaper man of ability, being connected with the Richmond Sun and the Commercial Bulletin of New York. He also was the founder of the Lee Camp of Confederate Veterans of Richmond, and a member of Parker’s Battery during the late war. His book, "The History of a Boy Company,” is one of his many writings. At one time a local preacher of the Methodist church, he afterwards became a Catholic during Bishop Keane's administration in Richmond. He was a Christian man and his death will be mourned by his many friends. The funeral arrangements will be made as soon as his family in Richmond is heard from.
