Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, April 28, 2002 
Clarence J. Filhiol, 64, son of the late Clarence and Lena Filhiol and of the
900 block of Sherman Lane, died April 25, 2002, at Sentara Norfolk General
Hospital.

A native of Norfolk, ``Dink'' spent uncountable miles on the road as a long
distance truck driver. Clarence was introduced to the Lord at an early age. He
was a member of First Church of Christ Holiness (USA).

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Antonio and Barnell N. Filhiol; a
daughter, Donna Filhiol Warren; a stepdaughter, Margaret Armstrong; three
stepsons, Joseph, Vernon and Bruce World; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild;
two brothers, Aubrey and Jesse Filhiol. He was predeceased by a daughter,
Charelene ``Chubby'' Filhiol; a sister, Ellarene Filhiol; and a brother, LeRoy
Filhiol.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church, 395 Old
Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, by Dr. E. Ray Cox. Interment will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The family will receive relatives and friends for remembrance and
visitation Monday from 7 to 9 p.m at P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc.,
Bonney Road Chapel, and all other times at 2416 Lloyd Drive, Chesapeake.
