Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 2, 1915

Mrs. Helen Catherine Finch, widow of C.J. Finch, died yesterday afternoon at 3:55 
at the residence of her son-in-law, J.W. Fox, 121 West Eighteenth Street. She was 
70 years old. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. J.W. Fox, Mrs. J.G.J. Vetter and 
Mrs. S.J. Pritchard of Norfolk; and two brothers, Samuel Banford of Saginaw, Mich. 
and Oliver Banford of California. She was a member of the First Baptist Church 
here for 21 years. Funeral will take place from the residence tomorrow at 3 p.m. 
and will be conducted by Rev. J.R. Straton. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
