James Jacob Fincham, 85, formerly of 6360 Glenoak Drive, died Oct. 31, 2001.

Mr. Fincham retired in January 2001, as a self-employed accountant after more than 
50 years of service. He was a graduate of Hampton Institute and was a member of 
Christ the King Catholic Church.

The widower of Jessie L. Fincham, he is survived by sisters, Lucy F. Gaskins and 
husband Joseph L. Gaskins of Portsmouth; brothers, Russell M. Fincham and wife 
Clara Fincham of Manassas, Va.; five nieces, Donna G. Scott, Pamela J. Hamlin, 
Paula Dove, Nancy Buchanan, Vanessa Allen; and a nephew, Russell M. Fincham Jr. He 
was predeceased by his parents, Lessie V. Fincham and Jacob C. Fincham .

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church by 
Father Brian Rafferty with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family will assemble at 
Hale Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday.
