Mrs. Isabelle C. Finegan — Funeral services for Mrs. Finegan, widow of John J. 
Finegan, whose death occurred Tuesday night at Greensboro, N.C., were held at 9 
o’clock yesterday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk, with the Rev. 
T. P. Scannell officiating. The Rev. Paul V. Heller was present in the sanctuary. 
In his address at the conclusion of the mass, Father Scannell paid tribute to the 
Christian life and character of the deceased. There was a large attendance and 
many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of pink gladioli and 
fern. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted 
by the Rev. Paul V. Heller. The pallbearers were Frank G. Finegan, John Cullen, M. 
J. Mulqueen, Allan Bassett, M. J. Powers, W. J. Ralston, Frank O’Connor and 
Charles E. Flaherty, Jr.
