Norfolk Virginian December 19, 1885

Mr. Howard Finley, who for a long time was employed as lamp lighter at the 
ferry, died yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock.

The funeral of Mr. Howard Finley, the death of whom we made mention in our 
last issue, will take place this afternoon from the Fourth Street Baptist 
Church.

The funeral of Mr. Howard Finley took place Sunday afternoon from the 
residence of Wm. McHorney, 519 Henry street, and was conducted by the Rev. 
C.N. Donaldson, after which the remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery, 
Norfolk,
