Norfolk Virginian March 3, 1886
The funeral of the late George A. Finley took place from the residence on Mariner 
street yesterday afternoon and was largely attended, Palestine Tent of Rechabites 
and Friendship Conclave of Heptasophs attending in a body. Rev. Vernon I'Anson, of 
the Third Baptist Church, conducted the services and the pallbearers were Messrs. 
Fulton Capps, C. W. Buckingham, John Whitehurst, D. Randlett and Edward Pearce. 
The remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery.
