The Virginian Pilot Monday January 4, 1960
SOUTH NORFOLK - Mark Finney Jr. of 1720 Obendorfer Rd., died Saturday at 
9:45 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness.
A son of Mark Sr. and Mariah Finney and the husband of the late Clara 
Finney, he was a native of South Norfolk and a member of Berkley Elks, IBPOE 
of W. No. 12, and of St. James A.M.E. Church.
Surviving are a son, Samuel Finney of South Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. 
Mildred Spellman of Hampton; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Dunston, Mrs. Danah 
Owens and Mrs. Annie Jones of South Norfolk; five grandchildren and a great-
grandchild.
The body was taken to Fitchett Funeral Home.
