Helen Wulzer Fishel, 82, died Jan. 13, 2003. She was a native of Norfolk. She was 
a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and a former member of the Women's Moose 
Lodge No. 39.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Fishel Sr. and a son, James E. 
Fishel.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Moore and husband Buddy of Colonial 
Heights, Va., Tina Powell and husband John of Gates County, N.C., and Theresa 
Barraclough and husband, Darryl of Virginia Beach; two sons, J. Fred Fishel Jr. of 
Norfolk and F. Stephen Fishel and his wife Patrice of Glen Allen, Va.; a sister, 
Olga W. Kingry of Virginia Beach and Ernest C. Wulzer of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at 
Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be 
celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Gregory Catholic Church by Father John-Mary 
Tompkins, O.S.B. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of 
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local charity of choice in
