Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch January 23, 1923
Mrs. Mattie Lee Fisher, widow of Benjamin F. Fisher, died last evening at the 
residence, 326 W. Thirteenth street, after a protracted illness, in her 52d year. 
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. E. Fisher; four daughters, Mrs. Allen 
Bynum, Misses Ethel Lee Fisher, Ruth K. Fisher and Mattie Lee Fisher, and one son, 
Carroll T. Fisher, all of Norfolk. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Christ Episcopal 
church.
The funeral will take place Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the residence, Rev. F. C. 
Steinmetz, S.T.D., officiating. Burial in Elmwood.
