William G. Fisher, a retired U.S. Navy captain, died on Sunday, March 17, 
1996, in the Mount Vernon Hospital. He was the husband of the late Quill 
Walker Fisher and father of William G. Jr. and John W. Fisher. He is also 
survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services 
will be held on today at noon at Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers 
family requests memorials be made to The American Cancer Society. Arrangements 
by Everly Wheatley Funeral Home.
