Virginian Pilot June 27, 1994

Monroe Fisher, of the 1300 block of Reservoir Ave., died June 23, 1994, in a 
local nursing home.
Mr. Fisher was born in Concord, N.C. He was employed with the Norfolk Naval Base 
and was formerly employed at Norfolk State University. He was the widower of 
Bernice Fisher. He was predeceased by his parents, Mattie Fisher and Monroe C. 
Boger Fisher.
Survivors include a devoted stepmother, Mrs. Z.H. Boger of Norfolk; devoted 
stepsister, Ms. D.B. Harris of Norfolk; and very devoted friends, Mr. and Mrs. 
Henry Hicks and family of Norfolk; and a host of friends of the city.
The graveside service will be held at noon Tuesday in Magnolia Cemetery. 
Metropolitan Funeral Service in charge. Family and friends will assemble at 1342 
Reservoir Ave., Norfolk, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. for funeral processional to the 
gravesite.
