Fitzgerald died suddenly yesterday morning at his home at 518 Twenty-eighth Street. Acute indigestion was the cause of his death. He was about 45 years old and unmarried. His sister is expected to arrive from Washington, D.C., this morning when arrangements for the funeral will be made. The body was removed to Oliver's Funeral Apartments in Freemason Street. Mr. Fitzgerald was connected with the Provident Relief Association. He was a member of Norfolk Council, No. 267, Knights of Columbus. *************************************************************************** The funeral of Michael J. Fitzgerald, whose death occurred suddenly at his home, 819 Twenty-eighth street, Friday, was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 9 o’clock yesterday morning and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. J. A. Kelliher. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. The following were the pallbearers: Samuel Hohenstein, E. C. Brooks, M . J. Murphy, M. J. Madden. James C. Gordon, Joseph L. Burke, James Scullion and Thomas Cashin. His sister, Miss Fitzgerald, of Washington, was here to attend the obsequies.
