EARL BERNARD FITZGERALD, 77, of Luray Terrace, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999 in 
Chesapeake General Hospital after a long and courage battle with cancer. He was 
the son of the late John A. and Callie Mae Thompson Fitzgerald. He was a Navy 
veteran of World War II and was a Methodist. He had been a member of the 
Veterans of Foreign Wars and the United Machinist Union. Mr. Fitzgerald retired 
as an aircraft mechanic with the Naval Air Rework Facility. A graveside service 
will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in the family plot at Elmwood Cemetery, 
Princess Anne Road and Monticello Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Tom Mercer. Oman 
Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is in charge.
