Virginian-Pilot  April 30, 1944
Miss Marie M. FitzGerald, 63, daughter of the late Francis W. and Mrs. Laura 
FitzGerald, died at 6:10 o'clock yesterday morning at a local hospital. Miss 
FitzGerald, a native of Chicago, Ill. and a resident of Norfolk for the past 30 
years, resided at 10 Cortez Apartments, 603 Westover avenue. She was employed as a 
deputy clerk of the Corporation Court. The body will be taken from the H. D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, for services tomorrow 
morning at 11 o’clock. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
