The funeral of Michael J. Fitzgerald, whose death occurred suddenly at his home, 
819 Twenty-eighth street, Friday, was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 9 
o’clock yesterday morning and was largely attended. The service was conducted by 
Rev. J. A. Kelliher. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The 
interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.
The following were the pallbearers: Samuel Hohenstein, E. C. Brooks, M . J. 
Murphy, M. J. Madden. James C. Gordon, Joseph L. Burke, James Scullion and Thomas 
Cashin. His sister, Miss Fitzgerald, of Washington, was here to attend the 
obsequies.
