Virginian-Pilot  August 30, 1887
Mr. Wm. Fitzgerald, a well-known and popular citizen, died at his residence on 
Boush street Sunday morning, in the 46th year of his age. The deceased was a 
native of the Island of Trinidad, but had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 
fifteen years. Up to the time of his illness, and for the past ten years, he had 
been a bookkeper for Peter, Smith & Co. His funeral will take place from St. 
Mary’s church today, at 9:30 a.m.
