Willie Fitzgerald of 323 Tidewater drive died Feb. 4 in a Norfolk hospital after 
a short illness.

He was a native of Blackstone, and had lived in Norfolk 35 years.

He formerly was custodian at Blair Junior High School for 14 years. He was a 
member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and served on its usher board.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lalar Fitzgerald; one daughter by a previous 
marriage, of New York City; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Henly and Mrs. Lillie 
Johnson, and four brothers, Collie Algie, Herley and Lloyd Fitzgerald, all of 
Norfolk.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service was conducted at 
Mount Olive Baptist Church Feb. 7 by the Rev. H. T. Myers, pastor. Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery.
