Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Joseph T. Fitzpatrick; three daughters, Barbara F. Cox, Kathleen F. McGinnis and Mary Regis F. Williams; four sisters, Josephine V. Zingraff, Mary V. Woodard, Lucille V. Jones and Cecelia V. Geifer; a brother, Joseph J. Venuto; and six grandchildren, Michael Fitzpatrick Cox, Tracey Anne Cox, Carl Joseph Cox, Thomas Blair McGinnis, Paul Fitzpatrick Williams and Katherine Hathaway Williams. A graduate of Holy Trinity High School, she was captain of the girls basketball team which won the state championship in 1947. She attended the Norfolk Division of William and Mary College and taught and coached at both Holy Trinity Grammar School and Norfolk Catholic High School. Her Norfolk Catholic High School basketball teams won the Catholic High Schools annual tournament four consecutive years from 1960 to 1963. She later returned to the school as director of the Scholarship Fund, a position she held until her retirement in 1985. The Class of 1985 dedicated their yearbook to Mrs. Fitzpatrick. In 1986, she was inducted into the Norfolk Catholic High School Sports Hall of Fame. Through the years, the students referred to her affectionately as ''Mrs. Fitz.'' She was active in numerous Democratic campaigns, beginning in 1960, and was elected as a delegate to six Democratic State Conventions. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Princess Anne Road and Stockley Gardens. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment in the Fitzpatrick family plot in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. John J. Dorgan will officiate. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling the arrangements.
