Norfolk Ledger Dispatch February 20, 1918
 
Mrs. Fannie May Flanagan, widow of John T. Flanagan, died at 6 o’clock this 
morning at the residence, 715 Granville Avenue, in the 69th year. She was a 
native of Princess Anne County and had lived in Norfolk 40 years. She was a 
member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. Her death was very sudden, living only a 
few minutes after she was taken ill. The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. 
next Monday at H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 E. Freemason Street. 
Burial in Elmwood.
