Virginian-Pilot February 28, 1919
Mrs. Helen Fleischer, 58 years old, widow of Dr. S. C. Fleischer, died yesterday 
morning at 8:30 o'clock in one of the hospitals as the result of flu which 
developed into double pneumonia after a brief illness.
Mrs. Fleischer lived at 513 Berkley avenue seven years, but was a former 
resident of New York city.
She is survived by five children: George, Carl, John and Frank Fleischer, and 
Miss Helen Fleischer; two brothers, W. A. Chapman and Niles Chapman, 
Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. H. J. W. Lake, Oxford, O.
The body will be taken from the funeral apartments of J. R. Williams, 208 
Chestnut street, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock to the grave in Elmwood 
cemetery, where the funeral will take place at 3 o'clock. Friends of the family 
are invited.
