Mr. Fleming, a native of Huntsville, Ala., had retired from the Norfolk Sheriff's Department and from the Navy. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Eureka Lodge of Norfolk and had served on the board of directors of the Y.M.C.A. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Fleming; a daughter, Theresa Coles of Virginia Beach; a sister, Lillian Good of Akron, Ohio; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. J.L. Kearney Sr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence.
