Fletcher, one of the oldest residents of Norfolk, died at 5:40 o'clock yesterday morning at the Allmand Home of Cumberland Street Methodist Church. He was 91 years old. Mr. Fletcher had been an inmate of the home during the past five or six years, all of his kin having preceded him to the grave. Mr. Fletcher was a native of Gloucester County, Virginia, but had been a resident of Norfolk about 70 years. He had been a member of the Cumberland Street Methodist Church for more than 60 years and was the next oldest living member of that congregation. In active life Mr. Fletcher had engaged in the contracting and building business, having been a member of the firm of Underwood and Fletcher and Keeling and Fletcher contractors and builders. The funeral will take place at the Cumberland Street Methodist Church at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon. Services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. J.A. Thomas, pastor of the church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
