VIRGINIA BEACH — Edith B. Fletcher, 58, of 829 N. Buckingham Court, a native of 
Archdale, N.C., died Wednesday in a hospital.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by a daughter, Catherine Ruth Fletcher of Durham, N.C.; 
three sons, Robert E. Fletcher III of Canton, Ohio, Daniel F. Fletcher of Tulsa, 
Okla., and John Joseph Fletcher of Virginia Beach; seven sisters, Zellen B. Wray, 
Zadie B. Caudle and Jennie F. Buck, all of Winston-Salem, N.C., Susan B. Hardison 
of Norfolk, Ollie B. Wood and Flossie H. Haney, both of High Point, N.C., and 
Betty B. Barrow of Kernersville, N.C.; four brothers, Albert W. Buck and Gilbert 
R. Buck, both of High Point, N.C., Garnett M. Buck of Chesapeake and James M. Buck 
of Virginia Beach; two stepbrothers, Thomas J. Holt of Syracuse, N.Y., and Rudolph 
H. Holt of High Point, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church by the Rev. Edward L. Richardson. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk.
