Virginian-Pilot, February 28, 1920
George L. Flora died at a local hospital Thursday evening at 7 o'clock 
following a short illness. He was a native of North Carolina and had been a 
resident of Norfolk for 40 years. He is survived by a widow, Carrie Flora, two 
sons, and three daughters. The funeral will take place at the residence, Third 
Street, Fairmount Park, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
