The Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 1, 1948


Walter Harrell Flora, 40, husband of Ruby Stevens Flora and son of the late 
Walter Henry and Maud Sadler Flora, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 
12:25 a.m.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alfred E. Vogel, of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Robert L. Boyce, of Tyner, N.C.; two brothers, Marvin L. 
Flora, of Norfolk, and R. Elton Flora, of Narrowsburg, N.Y.; an aunt, Mrs. 
R.G. Williams, and three uncles, L.P., R.E. and C.E. Sadler, all of Norfolk. 
Mr. Flora was a lifelong resident of Norfolk.
Funeral service will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
