Rites were held Oct. 1 at Riddick’s Funeral Home for Mrs. Grace B. Floyd of
Douglass Park who died in a local hospital Sept. 27. She was a patient for three
weeks at the hospital.

Mrs. Floyd was a member of Bank Street Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
Elder Samuel A. Wilson, pastor of New Calvary Baptist Church, officiated as Dr.
J. B. Henderson, pastor of the deceased, was out of the city on business.

The Rev. Alexander Warden read the obituary and papers from various groups. Mrs.
Helen Burrus sang “Rock of Ages.”

Mrs. Floyd’s survivors are one niece, Mrs. Ethel Mae Wallace; one great niece,
Mrs. Clara Johnson Simmons; two great nephews, and other relatives.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
