ANNIE E. FLOYD FOUND DEAD IN ROOM Mrs. Annie E. Floyd, widow of the late Joseph H. Floyd, was found dead in her room yesterday morning at 5 o'clock at the home of her nephew, Walter K. Marshall, 536 South Main Street. She had been complaining several days, but was not very ill, and it is thought that her death was due to heart disease. She was a native of Maryland, was well known and respected by all who knew her. Mrs. Floyd has written several books of poems and prose. Music was set to several of her compositions, especially during the Spanish-American war, and several of the songs sold to good advantage. She was 47 years old, and is survived by two children, Henden and Shirley Floyd and one sister, Mrs. Marshall. The funeral will occur on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the above named residence and will be conducted by the Rev. W.A. Smith pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church. The remains will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley ward.
