NORFOLK — Miss Josephine Catherine Flynn, 80, of 1233 Lafayette Blvd., daughter of 
Joseph Edward and Mrs. Mary Ann McDermott Flynn, died in her home Saturday at 3:42 
p.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a daughter of Joseph Edward and Mrs. Mary 
Ann McDermott Flynn; and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Cloonan, Mrs. Alice Flynn 
Robertson, Miss Mary Ellen Flynn and Miss Ruth 0. Flynn, all of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held in Christ the King Catholic Church Tuesday at 11:00 
a.m. by Msgr. Carroll T. Dozier. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, Monday at 
7:30 p.m.
