NORFOLK — Miss Mary Ellen Callista Flynn, of 1233 Lafayette Blvd., retired fashion 
buyer for Smith & Welton’s Department Store, and a lifelong resident of Norfolk, 
died Tuesday in her home.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Howard W. Cloonan, Mrs. Alice Flynn 
Robertson and Miss Ruth O. Flynn of Norfolk.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 7:30 in the funeral apartments. A 
joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Christ the 
King Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
