The Virginian Pilot September 4, 1994
Carrie Jane Fonville, 69, of the 2200 block of Hanson Ave., died Aug. 30, 1994, 
in a local hospital. 
Mrs. Fonville was born in Fairmont, N.C. She was a member of National Baptist 
Church. 
Survivors include her husband, Essex Fonville Jr.; two daughters, Rosa Mason 
and Ardell Gibbs; and four sons, Louis Gibbs, Anthony Gibbs, Arzim JesJ'Azim 
and Rodney Streeter, all of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren. 
A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday at National Baptist Church, Glenrock 
Road, Norfolk.  Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
